Retail shop invoice template for Mauritius

Most shop sales end at the till. When the customer is a business, like a guesthouse buying linen or an office buying supplies, they need a proper invoice with your BRN and VAT number on it, or their accountant will send them back to you.

This template handles mixed baskets: standard-rated goods and zero-rated basics on the same invoice, each line carrying its own VAT category.

Tips for retail & boutique invoices

  • B2B customers who are VAT-registered need their own BRN and VAT number on your invoice to claim the VAT back, so ask for both.
  • Zero-rated basics (bread, rice, flour) still belong on the invoice; they just carry 0%. Check the VAT categories guide when unsure.
  • Give trade customers a quote first. The generator flips to a quotation with one click.

Useful alongside this: the VAT calculator, the VAT categories guide and the invoice checker.
